Young Criminals Arrested in Bryan Following String of Vehicle Break-Ins

Young Criminals Busted in Bryan: A Double Dose of Vehicle Break-Ins!

Bryan, Texas

Things have been quite eventful lately in Bryan, and not in the way most residents would like! In a significant crackdown, Bryan police have nabbed a couple of groups of young suspects involved in vehicle break-ins within just a couple of days. Can you believe it? Talk about criminals on the loose!

Starting off our tale, on Thursday afternoon, an alert citizen turned to the police after spotting three youngsters scouring the parking lot at MC Harris High School. The good Samaritan even caught the action on video, which made its way to the local authorities. In no time, the Bryan police swooped in and arrested all three suspects — an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old — both hailing from Bryan. Neither of the young men are students at the school, but they sure picked a curious spot to do their dirty work!

They were charged with burglary of a vehicle and engaging in organized criminal activity. That’s a mouthful! But it seems these kids weren’t aware of what they were getting themselves into!

But wait, there’s more! Just a day before the high school incident, police had their hands full with another break-in case. Early Wednesday morning, officers were alerted to a trio of troublemakers trying to break into vehicles in a neighborhood near Bonham Elementary School. Thanks to the vigilant eye of another observant citizen, who spotted the suspects tugging on car door handles at about 3:30 a.m., the police were quick to respond.

When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the three juveniles not only attempting to break into vehicles but also in possession of illegal narcotics! Yep, that’s right. Talk about adding insult to injury! Further investigations revealed that they had stolen property linked to earlier vehicle burglaries that go back to October 2024. Who knew a simple night of mischief could connect to a larger scheme?

Officer Seth Waller shared more insight into the situation, saying, “All of these cases remain under investigation, and additional criminal charges may follow.” So if you think these guys are in the clear after this, you might want to think again!

Those juveniles were promptly transported to the Brazos County Juvenile Detention Center, where they were booked on a hefty list of charges. Here’s a peek at their price to pay:

  • Juvenile 1: Engage in Organized Criminal Activity, Burglary of Vehicle, Evading Arrest, Possession of Controlled Substance PG2 < 1G DFZ, and Theft of a Firearm.
  • Juvenile 2: Engage in Organized Criminal Activity, Burglary of Vehicle, Evading Arrest, Possession of Marijuana < 2OZ, Theft of a Firearm, and Unlawful Carry of Weapon.
  • Juvenile 3: Engage in Organized Criminal Activity, Burglary of Vehicle, Evading Arrest, Possession of Controlled Substance PG2 1-4G, Theft of a Firearm, Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence, and Unlawful Carry of Weapon.

The Bryan Police Department has expressed appreciation to the citizens who took quick action by contacting emergency services. At the end of the day, it’s really about the community working together. And for those of you living in the Bryan area, please remember to lock your car doors and remove all valuables from your vehicles. Better safe than sorry!

As these cases unfold, the police will continue their investigation to ensure the safety and security of our beloved Bryan neighborhood. Let’s give a round of applause for our hardworking police officers!
