Two Unrelated Arrests Made by College Station Police in the Same Neighborhood

In the early hours of this past Labor Day (September 2nd), College Station police made two unrelated arrests in close proximity to one another. These arrests occurred south of University and east of Tarrow in a residential area primarily known for rental housing.

The Vehicle Burglary Incident

The first arrest came after residents on Wellesley Drive alerted authorities to two men seen removing bags from a car trunk. Despite the suspects denying this activity, they were identified by the victim whose collectable Pokémon cards had been stolen.

One of the men involved, 17-year-old Jaydorian Booker from College Station, was arrested for vehicle burglary. Prior to this, Booker had been released from jail just three days earlier. The release had followed a bond for an unrelated misdemeanor theft. As of September 4th, Booker remains behind bars, with his bond for the vehicle burglary charge set at $4,000. There is no information to suggest the second man involved in the trunk incident was arrested.

Evading Arrest at Lions Park

Whilst this was ongoing, the police drone that was launched as part of the vehicle burglary investigation identified another unrelated person of interest, this time within nearby Lions Park on University – well after the park’s closing hours.

The individual, 28-year-old Preston Harrison, allegedly attempted to evade one of the on-site officers but was successfully apprehended with the combined efforts of the drone and additional officials in the University roadway, only three blocks away from the park.

Harrison, another College Station resident, was arrested on the charge of evading arrest, something he had previously been convicted of back in June 2022, for which he received a 12-month sentence in state jail. As of the 4th of September, Harrison is still in jail with a bond set at $5,000.
