The holiday season in Texas is just around the corner, and let’s be real—where else can you marvel at dazzling Christmas lights without a hint of snow? With a variety of spectacular light displays throughout the state, there’s something to get everyone in the festive spirit. Below are some of the most enchanting locations you might want to check out this holiday season.

New Braunfels Kicks Things Off

New Braunfels is pulling out all the stops with their Christmas kick-off on November 22! The celebration starts in Main Plaza, where thousands of dazzling lights will illuminate the night sky. Mayor Neal Linnartz will address the crowd at 6:30 p.m. before everyone counts down to officially light up the display. Best of all, Santa is making an entrance on a firetruck—perfect for family pictures! Enjoy festive tunes brought to you by the Canyon High School Steel Drum Band that will keep the party going until 8:30 p.m.

Peppermint Parkway at Circuit of the Americas

If you’re looking for a unique experience, look no further than the Peppermint Parkway, a mile-long drive-thru light extravaganza! This event opens on November 22 and runs until December 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. every night. Don’t forget to explore Peppermint Plaza, open from 5 to 10 p.m., for carnival rides, food, and more. Prices start at $45 for a family car, and you won’t want to miss “The Sweetest Deal” package starting at $99.

Get Your Holiday Fix at Domain Northside

On November 23 at 5:45 p.m., join the festivities at Domain Northside with their official Tree Lighting. The lights dance in hourly shows from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturdays. Even Christmas Eve and Christmas Day get in on the action, so make sure to stop by and enjoy the spectacle!

The Twinkliest Town in Texas: Johnson City

Head over to Johnson City, known as the “Twinkliest Town in Texas,” where millions of lights twinkle brightly in the night sky, so much so that they can even be seen from space! The display runs from November 29 to January 5, available for viewing every evening from dusk until midnight. What a magical atmosphere!

Experience Mozart’s Festival of Lights in Austin

After 40 glorious years, the Mozart’s Festival of Lights is back in Austin, providing a beautiful backdrop with hourly shows starting from November 29 through January 4 (except for Christmas Day). Enjoy the holiday markets and special activities like boat cruises on Lake Austin. General admission tickets are only $5, and kids under 10 can join the fun for free with a ticketed adult!

Austin’s Iconic Zilker Park

Mark your calendars for December 1, when Zilker Park will shine as they host the iconic Zilker Holiday Tree lighting ceremony, featuring the largest light display in Austin. From December 10 to December 23, check out the free general admission displays. And don’t miss the 60th-anniversary Trail of Lights, boasting over 2 million lights and 90 fantastic holiday displays.

Marble Falls and Dripping Springs Celebrate Too!
