New 19-story high rise to be built for Texas A&M University students

Unveiling Plans for a New Student Housing High-Rise

A visionary partnership between Houston-based The Dinerstein Companies and Chicago-based Harrison Street Real Estate Partners and Up Campus Student Living aims to create a new state-of-the-art student housing high-rise near the prestigious Texas A&M University in College Station. The plans reveal a 19-story building, situated at 100 Church Avenue in the lively Northgate District, destined to provide upscale living experiences for students soon as summer 2026.

High-Rise Design to Accommodate a Growing Student Population

The building, yet to be named, plans to accommodate 873 beds with a variety of floor plans suiting every students’ needs. Spread across multiple floors, the proposed designs range from compact studios to expansive six-bedroom layouts, averaging between 400 to 1,900 square feet. This development aims to serve the increasing student population at Texas A&M University, which recently witnessed a significant rise in student enrollment numbers—topping even its rival University of Texas by over 1,500 students.

New Building to Offer Best-in-Class Amenities

The building, designed with the multifaceted needs of its residents in mind, is planned to house a myriad of luxurious amenities. A leasing lobby, ground-floor retail spaces, a two-story indoor and outdoor fitness center, multiple study areas, bike storage, a golf and gaming simulator, and game lounges are just a few of the planned amenities, set to ensure students can enjoy a well-rounded living experience.

A Strategic Location Near Campus Landmarks

The property at 100 Church Avenue will be a stone’s throw away from the university campus and close to iconic College Station landmarks like Dixie Chicken. Students will have easy access to the campus and district’s vibrant social scene, making it a coveted location for student accommodation.

An Ongoing Legacy in College Station

This joint venture marks the third time The Dinerstein Companies have embarked on a project in College Station within the last decade. This project, in partnerhip with Harrison Street Real Estate Partners and Up Campus Student Living, reflects the group’s robust commitment towards the city and the university. The new development will stand as a testimony to their continuous dedication to innovation and excellence in real estate development.

Expectations and Future Plans

Construction is already underway, and the estimated completion date for this grand student living space is summer 2026. In anticipation of the finished product, preleasing is projected to begin in fall 2025, giving students ample time to secure a spot in this upcoming beacon of modern student living.
