Survey Fun at Texas A&M: Join In!

Hey there, College Station! Exciting news is brewing over at Texas A&M University! The university has rolled out an online employee engagement survey that’s just waiting for your input. This survey is part of the greater vision spearheaded by the university’s president, and it’s designed to better the workplace for everyone involved.

Why Should You Care?

Okay, so you might be wondering, what’s in it for you? Well, this survey aims to do three terrific things:

  1. It wants to evaluate how engaged employees like you are feeling in your roles and how enabled you feel to excel.
  2. Once the survey wraps up, the results will be used to develop targeted action plans focused on areas where there’s room for growth.
  3. Lastly, the ultimate goal is to boost engagement among faculty and staff, which can lead to a better workplace and improved performance.

Time to Sound Off!

Now, here’s the scoop: the survey, which consists of about 70 Likert scale questions and a few open-ended questions, will be managed by a credible external consultant, Korn Ferry. This means that you can share your thoughts without worrying about any backlash, right? Well, hold on a second—there have been some concerns raised about potential retaliation from higher-ups that might discourage some folks from participating. But hey, it’s important to remember that the feedback here can lead to real change!

Who Can Join?

If you’ve been working with Texas A&M, Texas A&M at Galveston, or Texas A&M Health Science Center since before January 15, you’re in luck! You’re eligible to participate in the survey, which will remain open until February 28, 2025. That gives you plenty of time to dive in!

Leadership Encouragement

The president has been actively encouraging everyone to provide candid and confidential feedback. After all, our employees are the backbone of Texas A&M, and their voices matter!
