Ranked No. 5, the Aggies showcased their dominance with explosive early innings, including a two-run home run by Amari Harper. Despite a spirited comeback attempt from LMU, Texas A&M’s strong defensive play and timely runs secured their impressive season record of 30-5. Fans eagerly anticipate the rematch set for Sunday.
College Station, TX – In a thrilling game at Davis Diamond on Saturday evening, the Texas A&M baseball team proved they are a force to be reckoned with. Currently standing tall at ranked No. 5, the Aggies extended their winning streak to five games, dominating LMU with a 6-2 victory. With this win, their season record has improved to an impressive 30-5.
The Aggies kicked things off with some serious energy in the first inning. After Kennedy Powell started the game with a walk, she wasted no time getting her team on the board by scoring on an RBI single from Mya Perez. But that was just the beginning! A fielding error by LMU’s first baseman allowed Mac Barbara to hit a single, letting Perez advance safely. Koko Wooley joined the action with a fielder’s choice that brought Perez home. Just like that, the Aggies had a solid 2-0 lead right out of the gate.
As if things couldn’t get better for Texas A&M, the second inning brought even more fireworks. Kramer Eschete stepped up and crushed a double to left field, setting the stage for Powell, who then tacked on another run with a single. But the highlight of the inning was undoubtedly Amari Harper’s explosive two-run home run to right center, pushing the Aggies’ lead to a commanding 5-0 after just two innings. The crowd went wild, and it was clear the Aggies were on a roll.
