COLLEGE STATION, Texas – What began as a pandemic era leisurely pursuit has evolved into a lucrative business journey for a local entrepreneur. Darren Cadiz recently shared his story, detailing his transition from hobbyist to entrepreneur with the establishment of Love Me Sweet Co., a self-care boutique, in 2020.
Cadiz began exploring the art of soapmaking during the pandemic. The idea behind Love Me Sweet Co. is to render self-care indulgence accessible to all. “Everything you can savour is what Love Me Sweet epitomizes because everyone deserves self-care and self-love,” affirms Cadiz.
Post Oak Mall Welcomes a New Store
The freshly inaugurated store hosts a variety of items including handmade bath bombs, sugar scrubs, and skincare products. Cadiz, the driven entrepreneur, has broadened the product line by collaborating with other business owners, carrying jewels, apparel, bags, and other merchandise.
Moving from experimenting with soapmaking, Cadiz established a small business in 2021, affectionately named as Castile Confections, and began vending his products at markets. Realizing the potential and acceptance of his products, he rebranded the business to Love Me Sweet Co. in 2022 and inaugurated a studio in Shades Atelier in Bryan.

The entrepreneur expressed his disbelief at the speed at which his business has bloomed, opening his storefront merely a year after establishing his studio space. “It was by no means easy, but I maintained faith in myself and was relentless because I was passionate about succeeding and expanding,” shares Cadiz.
Love Me Sweet Co. is ideally situated, opposite the Bonita Brow Bar and near the JC Penny entrance in the Post Oak Mall. The grand inauguration is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on an upcoming Saturday. An array of raffles, giveaways, and door prizes will be the highlight of the day, promising an eventful opening day for the patrons.
