Rockdale Man Admits To Sexual Assaults of Two Teenage Girls in College Station, Receives Maximum Penalty Sentence

A 22-year-old Milam County man has pleaded guilty to the sexual assault of a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old girl in a hotel in College Station. Named as Jamarr Zamora of Rockdale, the man has received a 20-year prison sentence in addition to other charges related to human trafficking. He will also be legally obligated to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Details of the Case

On November 27, 2022, the mother of one of Zamora’s victims reached out to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Department. She reported that her daughter was missing and her whereabouts unknown. The victim, a 15-year-old girl, returned home the next day and confided that Zamora had engaged in sexual acts with her in a College Station hotel. Consequently, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation on Zamora, which led them to unearth another 14-year-old victim.

During the investigation by Detective Joshua Street of the College Station Police Department, Zamora confessed to the crimes. He admitted to taking the minor victims to various hotels in College Station, where the sexual assaults took place.

Investigation and Judicial Process

The case was investigated by the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, the College Station Police Department, and Tiffany Graves from the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office. Additionally, agencies such as Baylor Scott and White Forensic Unit, Scotty’s House Child Advocacy Center, Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley, and Unbound Now provided special assistance during the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Jessica Escue. In her statement, she said, “This Defendant manipulated and sexually abused vulnerable teenagers. Our office will strongly respond to anyone who seeks to harm a child in this community.”

More Measures Taken

Besides the prison sentence, Zamora will also have to abide by lifetime protection orders in favor of both his victims. He also faces three additional counts of sexual assault and three separate human trafficking cases in Milam County. All these charges are recorded in the Brazos County jail records where Zamora has been detained.
