Public Input Wanted for Proposed Roadway in Bryan-College Station
Residents of Bryan and College Station, gather around! There’s an exciting opportunity coming up for you to weigh in on a proposed new roadway that could change the way we travel in our lovely area. Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 7, from 5-7 p.m. The Brazos Center, located at 3232 Briarcrest Drive in Bryan, will host an open house aimed at collecting public input on what’s being called the Inner Loop East Study.
What’s the Big Deal?
So, what’s this Inner Loop East all about? In simple terms, it’s an initiative led by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in collaboration with Brazos County, Bryan, and College Station. The goal is to explore the possibility of a new north-south road that would run to the east of our cities. This proposed roadway would help to improve traffic flow in the area, making it easier for everyone to get where they need to go.
Potential Route
While no specific alignment has been decided just yet, one potential route could stretch from the vicinity of William D. Fitch Parkway and Texas 30 all the way to where FM 2818 meets Texas 6 north of Bryan. Just imagine how this could alleviate congestion, especially during rush hour!
