Bryan Police Arrests Two for Armed Robbery and Thefts

22-year-old Juan Demmon of Bryan was arrested following an armed robbery at a convenience store on May 14th. Detailed in the BPD arrest report, the investigator utilized surveillance footage from various locations to identify the suspect’s getaway vehicle. Additional compelling evidence was collected through a search warrant for Demmon’s phone. It is alleged that Demmon used a knife to threaten a clerk at the 7-11 store at South College and Carson, stealing approximately $170 from the cash register. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, fortunately, the clerk was left unharmed.

Suspect Charged for Thefts from Two Retail Stores

In another case, Bryan local Javier Roel Solis Jr., 27, was arrested for thefts committed at two different retail stores. Solis Jr. confessed to stealing a pair of Air Force shoes on April 18th and a guitar on May 9th. Regrettably, Solis Jr. was released from jail after posting bond on his first theft, only to return to jail for a second theft shortly after. His current bond is set at $2,000, and he remains in police custody according to the latest reports.
