Northgate Introduces Two New Bars After Renovating Former Toku 12 Building

Revolutionary Renovations Bring Two New Bars to Northgate

BRYAN, Texas – The nightlife scene in Northgate is set to get a significant upgrade with the introduction of two new bars housed within the building formerly occupied by Toku 12. The renovations to the building located on the popular local bar street will transform it into a three-tier establishment, with each floor offering a unique form of entertainment to cater to a diverse range of patrons.

Three Levels, Three Unique Experiences

The ground floor is projected to be a student-oriented boba shop, while the second and third floors are being transformed into Baumhaus, a jungle-themed nightclub, and First Down, a rooftop sports bar. Both bars are proudly owned by Aggies alumni, contributing to the strong local presence in the area.

A Fresh Experience for College Station

“We’re looking to revolutionize this building,” declared Rafael Hernandez, one of the bar owners, “It will be an entirely different experience than anything College Station has seen before.” Hernandez is diving into this venture in partnership with Juan Diego Gonzalez, another former bar promoter eager to use his experience in creating an establishment that deeply resonates with the local community.

What Gonzalez is looking forward to the most about this venture is that these bars are not just owned by Aggies, but by young Aggies. “We understand our students. We know what they’re searching for,” confessed Gonzalez, showing his enthusiasm for the project. The aim is for the student community and the residents of College Station to recognize that the proprietors of these bars are individuals just like them.

A Bright Future for the Nightlife

All levels of the building are currently under major renovation, with the owners eyeing a mid-August opening day. The introduction of Baumhaus and First Down to the Northgate nightlife coincides with the annual influx of students for the fall semester at Texas A&M and is sure to provide new and exciting options for locals looking for unique nighttime experiences.

Despite these establishments standing out as new contributors to the local bar scene, the owners are banking on their establishments becoming a big hit with students and locals alike. The renovations and introduction of these two new bars underline the steady growth and innovation in the local nightlife and entertainment sector, promising exciting times ahead for residents and visitors.

Stay tuned for further updates on the grand opening of Baumhaus and First Down and other up-and-coming establishments invigorating the Northgate nightlife.
