Exciting News Sparks Project at Bryan High School!

In the vibrant city of Bryan, TX, a wave of excitement swept through the hallways of Bryan High School on Tuesday, September 17th, as students received a truly electrifying announcement. This year, they will be diving headfirst into building their very own Mini Monster Jam Truck, thanks to a fantastic collaboration between Northern Tool + Equipment and Monster Jam!

A Year of Creativity and Craftsmanship

This remarkable project is not just an ordinary school activity. It’s a part of Northern Tool + Equipment’s Tools for the Trades™ program, which is focused on sparking interest in trade careers among young learners. The grand unveiling of their hard work is expected to take place in June during Monster Jam’s planned stop at the Moody Center in Austin. How cool is that?

The students involved in Bryan High’s Career and Technical Education program are set to gain more than just a fun experience; they will receive essential hands-on skills and mentorship from experts at Monster Jam. Frank Crowson, who serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Northern Tool + Equipment, couldn’t hide his excitement about this partnership. He stated, “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Monster Jam! We are excited to meet Monster Jam’s loyal fans and show them the same power and grit of Northern Tool + Equipment products that they see in the Monster Jam trucks.”

Invaluable Learning Experience

With this initiative, the students will have the opportunity not only to build a Mini Monster Jam Truck but also to learn directly from experienced mentors in the Monster Jam world. Ryan Kotula, a Co-Owner of Northern Tool + Equipment, shared his thoughts on the importance of the educational aspect. He highlighted, “Partnering with Monster Jam on this first-of-its-kind Monster Jam Mini Build for the students at Bryan High School is exactly what this program is about.”

The Mini Monster Jam Truck will be powered by the new NorthStar 740cc EFI engine, showcasing the robust and reliable products that Northern Tool represents. Wade Kotula, also a Co-Owner, commented, “Our new NorthStar 740cc EFI engine is the heart of the Monster Jam Mini Build and will give the students a great starting place.”

A Journey of Triumphs and Challenges

Excitement isn’t limited to just the students; Monster Jam representatives are equally thrilled about this opportunity. Bill Easterly, the Vice President of Fleet Operations and Development, eagerly expressed his anticipation to work with the students. He noted, “They will have their share of successes and a few failures. What they will certainly figure out is that their successes directly depend on their ability to problem-solve as a team.”

Adding to the buzz is Armando Castro, the driver of Monster Jam’s El Toro Loco, who remarked, “It’s cool to see Monster Jam and Northern Tool come together to provide such an amazing opportunity for students. I can’t wait to see what they come up with!”

Praise from Educators

The enthusiasm doesn’t stop there! Chris Lehde, the welding instructor at Bryan High School, expressed his gratitude towards Northern Tool + Equipment’s Tools for the Trades program and Monster Jam. He mentioned, “We are grateful to Northern Tool + Equipment’s Tools for the Trades program and Monster Jam for bringing this opportunity to our school. The students are excited to get started.”

With the partnership firmly in place, students can now look forward to a year filled with education, teamwork, and an opportunity to showcase their creativity. They are all set to unveil their Mini Monster Jam Truck at this exciting event next summer, and the anticipation is building day by day!
