The city of Bryan’s beloved Zoi’s Animal Rescue facility is currently under financial strain and grappling with overcrowding challenges. The situation has quickly escalated, exacerbated by summer vacations, the looming hurricane season, and soaring inflation.
At present, Zoi’s Animal Rescue, a key animal welfare asset in the Brazos Valley, has over 50 pets awaiting adoption. However, the adopted count is spiraling downward due to various factors, including the onset of summer vacations and possible limitations caused by Hurricane Beryl.
These issues, together with rising costs, have created a situation that the shelter’s regular donors unfortunately cannot completely resolve. Given these challenging circumstances, many pets, including dogs like Elvis, are left in more vulnerable positions.
These desperate times call for additional support from the local Bryan community. The shelter needs not only financial contributions but also donations in kind such as food, toys, and vitamins for animals. Moreover, assistance to offer these pets temporary residences or permanent homes is greatly needed. Please consider fostering or adopting.
All details about the animals in the rescue center are available online. By visiting the Zoi’s Animal Rescue Facebook page or the shelter’s account on the popular site, Petfinder, interested parties can learn about each animal’s story and requirements.
The obstruction posed by summer travels, worsening weather conditions, and economic turmoil is undeniably challenging but not insurmountable. By rallying together as a community, we can help ensure that Zoi’s Animal Rescue can continue its animal saving mission despite the adverse circumstances.
