EUGENE— Ja’Qualon Scott Takes A Huge Leap in NCAA History
In an exciting turn of events, Ja’Qualon Scott of Texas A&M’s track and field team broke his own school record on the sixth day of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials held at Hayward Field. His historic run in the men’s 110m hurdles, crossing the line at 13.09 seconds, moved him up to fifth place in NCAA history.
Scott Smashes His Own Record
Scott had previously set a record just four days earlier during the men’s 110m hurdles final. His extraordinary performance this Friday not only ranks him fifth overall in his chosen event but also places him fifth all-time in NCAA history.

Another proud moment for the Maroon & White came when two-time Olympian Maggie Malone Hardin began her trials in the women’s javelin throw. She recorded a throw of 62.40m/204-9 on her first and only attempt, securing her spot in Sunday’s final.
