Free Scrap Tire Collection Event Now Underway in Brenham!

Free Scrap Tire Collection Event Kicks Off in Brenham!

Hey there, Brenham! We’ve got some exciting news to share with you. Starting today, **BVR Waste and Recycling** has rolled out a fantastic opportunity for residents to dump those old tires you’ve been holding on to. That’s right! It’s a free scrap tire collection event taking place at the BVR Collection Station located at 2009 Old Chappell Hill Road. This event runs until Saturday, October 26, so you have plenty of time to take advantage of this offer.

What You Can Bring

Are you a resident from Brenham, Burton, or anywhere in Washington County? If so, you’re eligible to dispose of up to eight passenger vehicle tires at no charge. That means you can finally say goodbye to those worn-out tires cluttering up your garage or backyard! Just remember to bring along some form of proof of residency, as this event is strictly for non-commercial customers. Commercial accounts will still have to pay the regular fees.

What’s Not Accepted

It’s important to know what you can’t bring. Unfortunately, rims, off-road equipment tires, agricultural tires, or even pieces of tires won’t be accepted during this event. So, make sure you check those tires before you head over to the collection station!

When Can You Drop Off Your Tires?

Mark your calendars! The BVR Collection Station will be open from 8 AM to 5 PM on weekdays—Monday through Friday. On Saturdays, the hours are a bit shorter, running from 8 AM to 1 PM. This should give you plenty of time to fit in a drop-off that works with your schedule.

Why You Should Participate

Not only is this an excellent chance to declutter and clear out old tires, but participating in this event also helps keep our community clean. Tires that end up in landfills or abandoned can become a serious environmental hazard, attracting pests and posing risks to public health. By bringing your old tires to this collection event, you’re doing your part to help protect our beautiful Brenham environment!

Community Spirit is Key

This event is a wonderful way to enhance community spirit. Imagine seeing your neighbors stop by to dispose of their tires, sharing stories, or even sharing a laugh while doing their part for the community. Plus, who doesn’t love a chance to make their home a cleaner, more organized place?

Spread the Word!

If you know friends or family members living in Brenham, Burton, or anywhere in Washington County, please spread the word about this fantastic event. It’s always great to see community members coming together, and the more people that participate, the more successful this event will be.

So, don’t let those old tires waste away in your yard any longer. Grab them and head down to the BVR Collection Station during the event hours. It’s free, it’s easy, and it’s a great way to do a little spring cleaning, even if it’s fall!

Looking forward to seeing you all around town with your tires in tow! Let’s keep Brenham clean and green!
