Free Dental Care Events Coming to Brazos Valley in 2024!

If you’re in the Brazos Valley area, you’re in for a treat! This February and May, you can take advantage of two fantastic opportunities for free dental care. That’s right, no hidden fees or insurance complications. Everyone deserves to smile, and these events are all about helping you achieve just that!

Texas Mission of Mercy (TMOM) is on a Mission!

Mark your calendars! TMOM is holding a special two-day clinic on February 21 and 22, 2024, at the Christ Church located at 4201 Highway 6 in College Station. Doors open bright and early at 6 a.m., and the clinic will run until they reach capacity each day. So, don’t snooze on this one. It’s first come, first serve!

No need to worry about registration; just walk up and take advantage of the services. What’s more, you don’t need to show any proof of identification, documents, or insurance. That’s right, come just as you are. Just bring someone who can help if you are under 18, because anyone visiting who is younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

However, attendees do need to be at least six years old and capable of sitting still, as dental work needs a steady hand and focus. Oh, and don’t forget to bring along your medical history and a list of any medications you’re currently taking!

Helping Hands for a Healthier Smile

This event is part of TMOM’s fantastic mission to provide essential dental care to Texans with limited resources or access. Did you know that since 2001, they have treated more than 54,000 patients and provided an astounding $41 million worth of dental care? This organization truly is a game-changer!

And it doesn’t stop there! If you’re feeling inspired to give back, TMOM welcomes volunteers. You can find more information at tmomvolunteer.org. Plus, they accept donations and sponsorships—each dollar donated provides an astonishing $8 worth of care. For example, a $25 donation can fund evaluations and cleanings for a child, while $100 can help cover four extractions. Every bit helps!

Don’t Miss Sharing Smiles Day!

Fast forward to May, and you’ll have another golden opportunity to receive dental services. Join Benevis on May 19, 2024, for Sharing Smiles Day, a special event aimed at uninsured or underinsured families and children. The festivities at select dental practices like Allington Dental, Goodland Dentistry, Jubilee Dental, Pinova Dental, and Topaz Dentistry will run from 8 AM to 2 PM.

Though you can walk in, families are encouraged to register in advance at www.SharingSmilesDay.com to secure their spots. This is especially important as there will be limited availability of appointments.

Sharing Smiles Day is all about fighting tooth decay, which remains a huge issue for children, more than any other chronic infectious disease! Over the last eight years, this initiative has serviced more than 3,000 patients, making smiles brighter all around.

The event is open to children up to 18 years old as well as adults who lack Medicaid or other dental insurance. So gather your family and get ready for a day dedicated to smiles!

Your Smile is Just Around the Corner!

So, if you or someone you know needs dental care, be sure to take advantage of these incredible events. With no documentation required and free services on offer, there’s no reason not to put a smile on your face in 2024!
