Police: Four from Florida Linked to Multiple Car Burgeries in Bryan

Quartet from Sunshine State Detained in Texas

In a cooperative effort by local law enforcement, four Floridians have been linked to multiple car burglaries in Bryan, Texas. The two men and two women, apprehended earlier this month, are now detained at the Brazos County Detention Center awaiting further prosecution.

Suspects Identified in Recent Raids

The four suspects have been identified as Richardo Lagueere, Shanta’nice McMillan, Cache Reid, and James Ward. They are alleged to have taken part in a series of vehicle break-ins during the afternoon and evening of Friday, June 7.

Most of these incidents occured outside two local childcare facilities: a preschool on the 2500 block of E. Villa Maria Road and another center on the 3700 block of Copperfield Parkway. It is believed that they particularly targeted vehicles belonging to employees and parents.

Suspects Caught on Camera

The allegedly stolen credit cards taken from these vehicles were later linked to a nearby business on Briarcrest, where two of the suspects were caught on camera purchasing a gift card, chops, and a drink. Another culrpit from the group was also captured on CCTV using a stolen credit card at a local gas station.

Chain of Incriminating Evidence

Police attention was drawn to the quartet after one of them was spotted discarding a purse into a dumpster and promptly changing the rear license plate on their car inside a park. Subsequent investigations revealed that the vehicle in use was rented from the Houston area and an illegally obtained handicap placard was found in their possesion.

Further Complications and Charges

During the inquiry, police learned about another vehicle burglary on E. William Joel Bryan Parkway that may be connected with the suspects. They are also suspected of being linked to several theft cases in Washington County.

All four arrestees are reported to be residents of the Miami area and are currently incarcerated, facing manifold charges that include vehicular burglaries and engaging in organized criminal activity.
