COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Big changes are on the horizon for Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park, as the Texas A&M baseball program gears up for an impressive $80 million renovation. This exciting project, which was long advocated for by former head coach Jim Schlossnagle, won the green light from the Texas A&M Board of Regents last May and is now set to kick off in the 2026 Fiscal Year. With all hands on deck, new head coach Michael Earley recently shared that not only is the renovation definitely happening, it’s been “accelerated!”
Increased Capacity and New Features

This surge in interest has seen average attendance jump to an impressive 6,431 fans per game in the 2024 season, landing them seventh in national rankings, and sixth overall in the Southeastern Conference. Even with a historic capacity ranked at a disappointing 20th nationally—sandwiched between Rice and Louisiana—the Aggies have often managed to squeeze in up to 8,000 fans during postseason matchups!
Former coach Jim Schlossnagle had a vision to elevate the fan experience, aiming for a capacity of between 12,000 to 15,000. He believed that the “12th Man” deserved something special. His vision included dedicated areas like drink rails and standing-room opportunities so that everyone could enjoy the electric atmosphere. Although the capacity may be closer to 10,000, the enhancements ensure that every game will feel like an event!
