“The theatre is a significant part of downtown Calvert’s history. Given that it’s the only venue of its kind remaining, it holds a prominent position in Calvert’s timeline,” Maris added. One local business owner, Gwen Butler, confessed her love for the progressive developments shaping the city. “The surge of activities within Calvert is extremely exciting, and I am looking forward to seeing more locals acknowledging and exploring Calvert’s abundant history,” Butler said.
