Downtown Bryan Businesses Collaborate for Unique Shopping Experience
Bryan, Texas – In an innovative initiative, local business owners are working together to provide shoppers with a new way to experience their favorite stores in downtown Bryan. The initiative, known as “Third Thursday Shop & Stroll,” will be a monthly event where participating businesses extend their operation hours until 8 p.m. This new approach allows the community to enjoy a relaxed and leisurely evening downtown, browsing through their favorite stores without the rush and bustle.
Unique Features of Third Thursday
What sets the Third Thursday Shop & Stroll apart is its unique concept. Instead of bustling vendors and musicians in the streets, these features will be incorporated within the participating stores. This inside-the-shop approach is aimed at providing shoppers with a more intimate and tranquil shopping experience.
Cindy Roberts, Owner of Burr’s Unfinished Furniture, looks forward to the initiative. “It’s going to be fun to shop and not worry about if you’re going to find a parking place or if it’s going to be too crowded at the restaurant to eat. That’s our goal, to get people downtown, and enjoy downtown on a Thursday night,” she expresses.
Participating Businesses and Monthly Themes
The businesses participating in Third Thursday include Burr’s Unfinished Furniture, Burr’s Boho, Sparrow Lane, Brazos Glassworks, Rabbit Hole/The Attic Antiques, Parker Astin Event Center, The Frame Gallery, Savage Diva, Bird’s Nest Gifts & Antiques, Itza BIP, Lonestar Meadery and Beautimous Me.
Each Third Thursday will carry a unique theme, and for the inaugural event in June, participants are encouraged to wear gold. This theme is chosen to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Rabbit Hole/The Attic Antiques, a member of the participating businesses.
The first Third Thursday Shop & Stroll is set to kick off on June 20th.
An Innovative Approach to Local Business
The collaborative approach of the Third Thursday initiative represents a transforming approach to local business and community development. By finding innovative ways to engage the community and support one another, these businesses are creating a strong foundation for continued growth and robust community interaction. Through initiatives like this, the future of downtown Bryan and its local businesses looks increasingly promising.
