In a shocking turn of events, the local community of College Station and Bryan, Texas, have experienced an increased number of domestic violence-related arrests. Incidents in College Station

One recent case of family violence aggravated assault occurred in College Station. The local Police Department initiated their investigation following the admittance of a female victim at a local hospital, where she was being treated for multiple injuries, including a broken ankle.

The arrest report indicated that the victim was forcefully attacked six times on the ankle with an M-4 carbine rifle, causing her severe harm and distress. Other visible bruises were noted on her lower legs and arms. Crime scene investigators recovered a weapon; a rifle suspected to have dried blood on it. A 37-year-old male, Gant Solomon, was pinpointed as the main suspect.

Solomon, who initially denied any wrongdoing by blaming another man for the assault, was eventually arrested. He was charged with family violence aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful carry of the weapon. As it currently stands, Solomon remains behind bars with bonds totaling $54,000.

Case in Bryan

In another unfortunate event, the Police in Bryan responded to a report of a man assaulted by an SUV in an apartment complex’s parking place. Although the man refused medical treatment, the impact caused substantial damage to his upper arm.

According to the Police report, the victim and the SUV driver were involved in an altercation before the incident. The female driver, a 19-year-old resident from Houston named Kaitlyn Taylor, was identified as the victim’s girlfriend. She was subsequently arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Taylor remains in jail, with a bond set at $12,000.
