In a fresh and exciting development, local designer Akira Carson, the creative genius behind Carson Fashion, is all set to expand her business operations to downtown Bryan, Texas. With plans of setting up the AK Carson Design Studio in the bustling center of the city, Carson aims to bring a fresh perspective to the current design scene.
The designer, who has been in the business for a fairly commendable six-year tenure, will host a soft launch of her new studio on June 1. During her journey, Carson has endeavored to make men’s, women’s and children’s clothing along with an inspired line of shoes and accessories.
The incoming design space will proudly feature three separate areas specifically organized for retail, sewing, and embroidery. Carson’s work has already seen light in numerous different portals, including her design worn by WNBA player Angel Reese in a game between LSU and Texas A&M this January.
During her interview, Carson revealed that her niece prompted her to design the bomber jacket gifted to Reese, one of the designs that earned her notable recognition. Carson credits her proposed growth to her family, who not only have been her constant source of encouragement but also have helped her design the new space from the ground up.
The floor of the studio has been carefully hand-painted with personal effort from all her family members, including her husband, children, and father. This personal touch speaks volumes about Carson’s connection to her work and her commitment to her dream.
“I’m genuinely excited about this new journey,” Carson shared, brimming with anticipation. “In 2024, y’all are going to see a whole different side of what I can really do.”
