In a recent development, Bryan and College Station ISD boards have made major reshuffles in their school administration, promoting two assistant principals to the position of principals.
The Bryan ISD board confirmed the appointment of Ashley Lopez as the new Principal of Mary Branch Elementary School. As a part of the district for over a decade, she brings a wealth of professional experience with her. Having served as an assistant principal at Kemp-Carver Elementary for four years, Lopez possesses a deep understanding of Bryan ISD both as an educator and former student.
Speaking about her journey, Ashley expressed, “I will be carrying all the many lessons I have learned and the countless memories I have made with me, as I transition into my new position as the Proud Principal at Branch Elementary.”
Superintendent Ginger Carrabine validated her appointment, “We are excited that Ms. Lopez is assuming the principal role at Mary Branch Elementary. Her first-hand knowledge of Bryan ISD as a former student and long-time employee in the district has prepared her for the position. Her knowledge, skills, and dedication to serving our students will ensure a smooth transition.”
On the other hand, College Station ISD board’s decision to promote Amanda Allen to the position of the school principal at Pebble Creek Elementary garnered applause from the audience at the meeting. Allen has amassed an impressive portfolio with 18 years of dedication to education, including five years as an assistant principal at Creek View Elementary School.
Allen conveyed her eagerness to work closely with the students, staff, and parents, saying “I am truly honored to step into the role of principal at Pebble Creek Elementary. I look forward to partnering with our community, families, and staff to continue Pebble Creek’s tradition of excellence for our students.”
This is an exciting and crucial time of transition for both our promoted educators and the community. Their dedication and consistency in serving the districts are commendable. It’s expected that their new roles will allow them to usher in positive changes, impacting the lives of many students, parents, and fellow educators positively. Congratulations to both Ashley Lopez and Amanda Allen in their new roles. We look forward to the contributions they will bring in their respective schools in the forthcoming academic year.
