Brazos County Grand Jury Hands Down Indictment

BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas – The cloud of a serious charge hangs over a resident of College Station as a Brazos County Grand Jury hands down an indictment for Indecency with a Child by Exposure.

The man at the center of the case is Clinton Harnden. Reports detail that Harnden was arrested following an incident that occurred in February. He is accused of exposing himself to a person less than 17 years old, as stipulated by court records.

Previous Employment and Charges

Adding to the severity of the case, Harnden was formerly an employee of Texas A&M University. This is not his first brush with the law dealing with similar offenses. Just last year in November, the FBI charged him in a separate case linked to child pornography.

Currently, Harnden is housed in the Brazos County Detention Center. His bond is set at a substantial $75,000.

More about the Federal Investigation

Further details about the parallel charges leveled by the federal investigation from last year remain under wraps. As this is an ongoing case, any more information will be released to the public as soon as it becomes accessible.

Upcoming Proceedings

The court will soon schedule subsequent proceedings in relation to the fresh charge of Indecency with a Child by Exposure. Until then, no statement from Harnden or his legal counsel has been made public. Texas law classifies this charge as a third-degree felony, carrying potential penalties of two to ten years in state prison and a fine up to $10,000.

Regardless of the ongoing investigation and subsequent charges, it is vital to remember that all accused parties are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. This case serves as a reminder that justice comes in many forms and everyone is entitled to due process.
