Superintendent of College Station ISD Offers Insights on Upcoming 2024-2025 School Year

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – As over 14,000 students gear up for the 2024-2025 academic year, College Station Independent School District is well-prepared to welcome them back. Superintendent Tim Harkrider has a clear vision for how the year ahead should unfold.

Assurances of Support

Harkrider, in his second year leading the district, encourages parents and families not to hesitate with questions or concerns about the upcoming year. Harkrider stated, “We’re here to provide top-notch customer service. Anything that families need to know or need support with, we are here to guide them. We are only a call or an email away, and we are committed to offering immediate responses. We are dedicated to offering students and families an optimal educational experience.”

A Voting Victory

In more good news, the previous year saw voters approve two bond propositions aimed at benefiting College Station ISD athletics. “Our taxpayers have granted us an valuable opportunity to implement new things for our students,” commented Harkrider. He imparted that several improvement projects will be initiated soon.

Exciting New Projects

“Our three middle school football fields, approved in the 2023 bond, will see construction beginning as soon as the middle school football season concludes in November. Ahead of that, we are meticulously planning the addition to Consol High School, the expansion of College Station High School and Phase Two of the CTE Center, plus renovations to our stadiums,” informed Harkrider.
