COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Authorities have identified the victims of Thursday’s tragic double homicide, which occurred in the 2000 block of Colgate Drive near Wolf Pen Creek Park in College Station.
The deceased have been identified as 59-year-old Seferino Aleman and 22-year-old Isaac Garcia. The fatal incident which unfolded on Thursday resulted in a triple shooting, with one victim succumbing to injuries at the scene and another at the hospital. A third individual was also hit by gunfire but survived the incident and is currently recovering in the hospital.
Police apprehended 19-year-old Michael Epperson early Friday morning in connection with the triple shooting. Arrested in Killeen, Epperson continues to be held at the Bell County Jail with his bond set at a hefty $2,025,000.
Epperson faces a number of charges including evading arrest with a vehicle, along with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Epperson is expected to be extradited to Brazos County in due time.
The College Station Police was reportedly seen conducting a search for evidence along Highway 6, possibly linked to the double homicide. However, it remains unclear whether they were successful in finding the sought-after evidence. While there are ongoing speculations concerning the motive behind the grave incident, the police have yet to release an official statement.
The investigation into this matter is still in progress, and further information is expected to be released by the law enforcement as the case develops.
