Hooters In Bryan Shuts Its Doors: A Trend Emerging Amongst Brazos Valley Eateries

Hooters Joins the List of Recent Restaurant Closings in Brazos Valley

In an unfortunate turn of events, the Bryan-based Hooters outlet situated on N Earl Rudder Fwy recently closed its doors permanently. A notice posted on the restaurant’s facade clarified that the location is no longer functional and suggested patrons to visit their other locales in Houston or DFW area.

Reliable sources have confirmed that the establishment’s staff was informed of the impending closure on a short notice, on the preceding Sunday morning.

String of Recent Closures Hit the Local Food Industry

Notably, the closing of Hooters is the latest in a spate of abrupt restaurant closures that have shaken the local food industry in recent times. The previous week witnessed the closure of Casa Ole’ within Post Oak Mall followed by Mo’s Irish Pub based in Century Square, which ceased operations last Sunday.

Other establishments that have recently shut their doors in the area include Imperial Chinese & Sushi, Naked Fish Sushi & Grill, Rush Bowls, World of Beer, Mr. Hamburger, Tipsy Trinket, Mad Taco, IHOP near Northgate, Wayback Burgers, Which Wich, Saints & Sinners Cafe, Last Shot Xpresso, Mad Piez, Muriels GF Bakery, and Jamba Juice on University Drive.

New Restaurants Venturing into Brazos Valley

Despite the wave of closures, there also seems to be a growth of new establishments venturing into the location. For instance, Pluckers Wing Bar recently announced its upcoming outlet, which will be situated at 990 University Drive East in College Station. Not just Pluckers, but other exciting names such as Coco Shrimp, Original Chop Shop, and Uptown Brunch are on the horizon, expected to open soon in Century Square.

The food industry is characterized by constant movement and despite closures, the fact that new businesses are still willing to venture into the area is positive news. Brazos Valley is known for its dynamic food scene and one can only anticipate an exciting mix of flavours in the future.
