Corps of Cadets Announces March-In Schedule for Football Season

March-Ins to Commence with Season Opener

Texas A&M University’s Corps of Cadets has announced a series of traditional campus march-ins to precede every home football game this season. Kicking off with the season opener on August 31st, Cadets will march in formation across various parts of campus before each of the Aggies’ seven home games.

These march-ins present an opportunity for fans and visitors to witness the Cadets as well as the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, the Parsons Mounted Cavalry, and Reveille X in action. The marches will commence from the Quad and weave their way through different areas on campus towards the stadium.

March-In Schedule

In addition to the season opener, march-ins are slated ahead of games against McNeese State and Bowling Green. Subsequently, the Corps will march through Aggie Park before the game against Missouri as part of the 16th annual Rally to the Guidons event.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of women’s admission to the Corps, a special block showcasing former female cadets will be present in this year’s march. Following that, a veterans review on Simpson Drill Field will be conducted prior to the New Mexico State game.

The season’s march-ins will conclude with a campus march before the highly anticipated Lone Star Showdown against Texas on November 30th.

Changes to March-In Traditions

While traditionally the Cadets marched into a sometimes empty Kyle Field, changes have been made due to logistical reasons such as Southeastern Conference rules, growing tailgating scene, and teams warming up inside the stadium. Therefore, for the past few years, there have been no march-ins during the Thanksgiving week games, signaling an evolution in tradition to adapt to the changing times.

More Details to Follow

For interested fans and attendees, detailed timelines and routes for each march-in will soon be made available on official university platforms. These time-honored processions leading up to the games are a unique spectacle reflecting the university’s spirit and tradition, promising another exciting season of Aggie football.
