$951,000 to 168 landowners, there’s a focus on conducting crucial prescribed fires throughout the year. This funding will ultimately benefit over 35,000 acres of land, minimizing wildfire risks and protecting local ecosystems.

These prescribed burns will likely take place between January and June and are part of a strategic approach to fire management, which prioritizes ecosystems and wildfire mitigation. Through the Texas Longleaf Conservation Assistance Program, landowners can apply for funding to help with these essential goals.

New City Developments to Look Forward To

Phillips Event Center, as well as the purchase of five adjacent acres for city use. This generous donation from the previous owner, Wallace Phillips, has set the tone for further developments in the area.
