Bryan Man Arrested for Damaging Multiple Vehicles with Bricks and a Wooden Stick

Bryan Man Uses Bricks to Cause Damage in Neighborhood, Arrested by Police

A resident of Bryan, Texas, Ramiro Rosas-Almansa, was recently arrested after allegedly damaging numerous vehicles and a house in the area with bricks and a wooden 4×4. This incident led to a police call-out, an attempt to arrest that became dramatic, and the damaging of a police vehicle.

Bizarre Attack on Cars and Property

On a regular Thursday afternoon, the quiet in the 2800 block of Old Hearne Road was disrupted when reports started coming in of a man causing severe damage to property in the locality. Residents were taken aback when they noticed Rosas-Almansa, aged 57, throwing bricks through the windows of multiple cars and even a house, using a sizeable wooden 4×4 to inflict even more damage.

This puzzling occurrence led to several calls to the Bryan Police Department (BPD), who quickly arrived on the scene to deal with the escalating situation. In total, Rosas-Almansa managed to damage eight vehicles and one home in his outburst.

Complications in Apprehension

Upon arrival, the responding officers attempted to arrest Rosas-Almansa. However, it proved to be no ordinary arrest. The 57-year-old managed to smash the window of one of the officer’s vehicles using his makeshift weapon during the arrest attempt.

Despite the complications, law enforcement was finally able to detain Rosas-Almansa, but not before he put up a significant resistance. The details of this resistance and the extent of the officer’s vehicle damage have not been disclosed yet.

Charges and Legal Proceedings

Following the series of events, Rosas-Almansa has been charged with multiple crimes. The charges include criminal mischief, assault of a public servant, and resisting arrest. He is currently being held in custody, with bonds amounting to $29,000 in total.

Community Reaction and Further Developments

The community has reacted with dismay to this public disorder, and law enforcement is actively working on the case. While there were no injuries reported, the financial loss stemming from the damaged vehicles and home is substantial. The Bryan Police are encouraging anyone with additional information related to the case to come forward.

As legal proceedings continue, further details regarding the motivation behind Rosas-Almansa’s destructive spree are anticipated to emerge. Whereas, the community looks forward to swift justice and hopes for a restoration of calm in the neighborhood soon.
