The Bryan Police Department is investigating a series of gunfire incidents that have raised safety concerns among residents. Following multiple reports, including damage to property from stray bullets, police are also looking into a shooting near the Northgate District. Involvement of juveniles in disturbances and vandalism has complicated the situation further. The police are committed to ensuring community safety amidst rising violence and are urging residents to stay vigilant.
In the bustling city of Bryan, the police department is on high alert following a series of unsettling gunfire incidents that have left residents concerned about safety. Just early Saturday morning, around 1 a.m. on December 14, officers responded to reports of shots fired on South College Avenue. However, when they arrived, they were unable to locate any victims or pinpoint the exact source of the gunfire.
The situation escalated when the Bryan Fire Department received a call about a gas leak in the 1600 block of South College Avenue. Upon investigation, it was found that a gas meter had been struck by bullets, confirming the property damage caused by the earlier reported shots. It didn’t stop there; a nearby home also showed visible signs of damage from gunfire. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported from these incidents.
The unrest continued as two individuals arrived at a local emergency room after being involved in another shooting incident just north of the Northgate district. While one victim suffered only a minor injury, it was revealed that their vehicle was also caught in the crossfire. The police department is investigating this shooting thoroughly, as they strive to piece together what happened.
