Bryan, Texas is buzzing with excitement! On October 15, the community will come together for the sixth annual Brazil Valley Gives fundraiser, supporting an impressive 198 non-profit agencies spread throughout the seven-county region. This annual charity event is a wonderful way for residents to give back and support the organizations that work tirelessly to improve our community.

A Look at the Early Giving Period

If you’re curious about how things have kicked off, let’s check out the numbers! As of 11 a.m. on Monday, generous donors have already contributed over $258,000 to various organizations. That’s not all—the early giving period has also resulted in nearly 1,000 hours of volunteer time being pledged. Isn’t it heartwarming to see how quickly our community steps up to support those in need?

How to Participate on Giving Day

Mark your calendars because on Tuesday, October 15, starting from bright and early at 5:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m., donating is a breeze! Simply log onto brazosvalleygives.org and you can make a donation to the non-profit organization(s) you feel passionate about.

For those who prefer a face-to-face experience, there are four convenient drive-thru locations where you can drop off your contributions, making it super easy to give! Here’s where you can go on the big day:

  • The Eagle at 1729 Briarcrest Drive, Bryan – Open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Caldwell Civic Center at 103 Highway 21, Caldwell – Open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Navasota Center at 101 Stadium Drive, Navasota – Open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Chamber of Commerce at 314 South Austin Street, Brenham – Open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Celebrate Your Contributions!

Businesses and organizations participating in this day of giving are not only encouraged to drop off their donations but also to take this opportunity for a “big-check” presentation for social media photos. It’s a fun way to capture the spirit of giving!

Generous Sponsors and Community Support

This fantastic event wouldn’t be possible without the support of local sponsors. Amarillo National Bank serves as the presenting sponsor, along with other champions like David Gardner’s Jewelers, Tom Light Legacy, and Ray of Hope. Local media partners have joined forces with the Community Foundation to spread the word and ensure everyone knows about this special day.

Incentives Galore!

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, participating non-profits are also in the running for more than $50,000 in incentive prizes. This is a fun way to encourage even more participation and funding for these valuable organizations. Plus, over 88 individuals and businesses have stepped up as “CHAMPIONS” to help support their favorite non-profits during this charitable campaign. Isn’t it inspiring to see people rallying around their causes?

Every Donation Matters

Julie Porter, co-chair of Brazos Valley Gives, sums it up beautifully: “Our sixth annual giving day is empowering donors across our region to give where they live. Brazos Valley Gives is strengthening our nonprofits, bringing the community together as one.” With a target of raising a whopping $1,500,000, the goal is ambitious, but with the collective effort of our caring community, it’s entirely achievable!
