Brazos County Homeowners Urge USPS for Improved Package Delivery

Brazos County Citizens Voice Concerns over Postal Services

Concerns have emerged from a multitude of residents in Brazos County, Texas about their mail handling by the Postal Service. Numerous occasions have resulted in packages not being left in or around homeowners’ mailboxes.

Homeowner Leslie Husfeld Jett, a recent inductee into the Wellborn community, mentioned that her mail has often been left elsewhere, despite the tracking updates suggesting deliveries “in/near mailbox”. Jett’s packages, sometimes valuable and sentimental, have been left in places such as a tree, being exposed to inclement weather conditions.

Hassles in Reaching the Postal Service for Assistance

Jett’s attempts to draw attention to her delivery tribulations have largely been unsuccessful. Despite numerous service requests, calls and emails, direct responses from the Postal Service have been elusive for the concerned homeowner. This passive response is causing great discomfort among citizens, further undermining the efficiency of the Postal Service.

USPS Responds to The Concerns

Representatives from the Postal Service acknowledged the problems being faced by the residents of Brazos County, they informed that the local management is aware of the concerns and is currently looking into the situation.

Kanickewa ” Nikki” Johnson, Strategic Communications Specialist for South Carolina/Texas 2 Districts, U.S. Postal Service Southern Area Corporate Communications, emphasized the Postal Service’s commitment to customer-friendly service and urged the customers to reach out to them directly with any problem related to package delivery.

No Shortage of Respect for The USPS

While raising concerns, the homeowners in Brazos County continue to express their respect for the work of the postal workers. Leslie Husfeld Jett, whose father had served the Postal Service for over 35 years, outlined the necessity for more careful package delivery while acknowledging the hard work and dedication shown by the carriers. She expressed faith in the USPS, citing her father’s dedication to the job and his commitment to his customers.

Jett ended her testimonial request by saying, “I would say to you, please, if you can just take that extra measure, even if you can just drive a couple of feet in. You may be busy, you may have a lot of gifts to deliver, but some of these things are very valuable to us, and there’s a lot of money invested in them as well. It’s not too much to ask if you could just drive a few more feet to drop it off at the house. We would really appreciate that.”
