Blinn-Bryan Theatre Troupe Unveils New Season – ‘Illustrious Lives’

Bryan, TX

The Blinn-Bryan Theatre Troupe is all set to light up the stage with its exciting new 2024-25 season, ‘Illustrious Lives’. The new season brings a combination of history, humour, drama, and illustrious characters to the Blinn-Bryan Student Center.

The Season Line-up

Launching the season in the month of October is Chiara Atik’s “Poor Clare,” providing a modern perspective on the life of St. Clare of Assisi. From her journey from privilege to piety, the play brings the character to life. The play will run from October 17 to 19, with a matinee performance on October 20.

Another significant highlight of the season is Lauren Gunderson’s “The Half-Life of Marie Curie”. This scintillating drama follows the life of the legendary Nobel Prize-winning chemist Marie Curie. The play unfolds her professional and personal life, offering an insightful look at her achievements and struggles. The play will take center stage from February 27 to March 1, with a matinee performance on March 2.

Adding a dash of humor to the season is the troupe’s second-ever musical act – “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” in January. Derived from the iconic comic strip characters, the play promises light-hearted fun for audiences of all ages. The performances will run from January 30 to February 1, with a matinee performance on February 2.

Curtain Call

The season will wrap up with “The Laramie Project,” a moving documentary play about the aftermath of Matthew Shepard’s murder in 1998. The play provides an investigation into the tragic incident and its reverberations through the community. The play will be on the stage from April 10 to 12, with a matinee performance on April 13.
