COLLEGE STATION, TX – In the heart of Texas, a law group called the Greening Law Group hosted a ‘Back to School Bash & Backpack Giveaway’ last Sunday. The aim of this event was to support students in the Bryan-College Station region by providing them with essential school supplies. The firm handed out approximately 200 backpacks stocked with necessary equipment to students from kindergarten through the 8th grade.
This admirable contribution was offered to the community on a first-come, first-serve basis. The event saw participation from all the local schools and provided families with crucial resources to get ready for the upcoming academic year.
Craig Greening, Greening Law Group’s CEO, expressed how personal and significant this initiative was to him, recalling his school days.“I think this was super important for me because when I was growing up, there were a lot of kids who didn’t have their school supplies. Getting your school supplies was the most exciting thing about going to school. So, I wanted to make sure everyone has their supplies this year,”he stated.
The fun-filled bash took place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the law firm’s office located at 1105 University Drive, College Station. It offered more than just the distribution of backpacks. Attendees also enjoyed complimentary food, a bounce house for children, face painting, haircuts, and even embroidery for backpacks.
An exciting feature of the event was a dunking booth, attracting a long line of eager participants. The booth had some popular local figures like Bryan Mayor Bobby Gutierrez and City Council members Jared Salvato and Paul Torres taking turns in the dunking seat. This unique touch livened up the event and ensured a memorable day for everyone involved.
The Greening Law Group expressed sincere thanks to the community for their encouragement and support in carrying out this initiative. The firm is proud to empower students and contribute to their educational success by furnishing them with the necessary tools for learning.
Such events, which bring the community together for a good cause, are instrumental in strengthening the fabric of society and play a crucial role in shaping our future – the younger generation. Let’s hope that these efforts continue to expand and multiply in different parts of the country to further the cause of education.
