Two Arrested on Multiple Charges Following Parking Violation

In what began as a simple parking violation, has unfolded into a serious criminal case in College Station. A convenience store employee reported a car blocking several parking spaces for over two and a half hours, prompting local police to attend the scene. However, what could have been a routine call soon escalated when the responding officers made a shocking discovery.

Multiple Charges for Two Individuals

The car’s occupants, the 24-year-old driver identified as Cody Polanco and 33-year-old passenger Tarah Hill, were both arrested on multiple charges following the incident. The charges stemmed from discoveries made during the police inspection of the vehicle, which included several credit and debit cards that did not belong to either Polanco or Hill.

Police also found methamphetamine and marijuana, leading to drug possession charges for both individuals. The arrest was further complicated by the fact that the convenience store is located within a designated drug-free zone.

Warrants and Misrepresentation

In addition to the charges levied in connection with the car inspection, both Polanco and Hill were found to have pending warrants from Harris County. These preexisting legal issues compound the severity of their situation.

Polanco also faces an additional charge for providing a false name to the law enforcement officials during their investigation. The bonds for the charges from the College Station Police Department against Polanco total $42,000, while Hill’s bonds total $32,000.
