The officers immediately began their investigation and quickly took action to ensure the area was secure.
CSPD quickly set up a perimeter around the crime scene, calling in both a K9 unit and a drone operator to survey the area for any signs of the fleeing suspect. Despite their extensive efforts, the suspect managed to evade capture, leaving the police and community on edge.
Fast forward to the morning of Thursday, September 19, and CSPD announced a significant development in the case. After over a week of thorough investigation and community outreach, they successfully arrested the suspect on Wednesday night without any incident. The individual charged is identified as Various McNeal, 27, who resides in College Station.
McNeal now faces serious legal repercussions, as he has been charged with aggravated sexual assault alongside other offenses. According to records from the Brazos County Jail, he is currently being held on a staggering total of $958,000 in bond amounts.
