This incredible accomplishment not only highlights the department’s impressive stature but also puts Texas A&M in a league of its own alongside Iowa State University of Science and Technology and the University of California-Davis, who share the top spot.

Under Smith’s leadership, there’s been a focused effort to engage students in various networking, educational, and competitive activities. In addition to this fantastic news, Texas A&M also ranked first in petroleum engineering on the same U.S. News list. The university’s engineering programs received high marks overall, with ninth place in business management and civil engineering, and tenth in industrial/manufacturing engineering. They also ranked twelfth for mechanical engineering and aerospace/aeronautical/astronautical programs.
