Man Awaits Trials for Property Crime Charges Amidst Sexual Abuse Allegations

College Station Resident Awaiting Trials for Property Crimes Faces Sexual Abuse Allegations

Stelton Govan II, a resident of College Station, is currently under arrest awaiting an onslaught of trials linked to property crimes. Now, new allegations of continuous sexual abuse of minors make the situation even graver.

Authorities have apprehended a 23-year-old man, Stelton Govan II, in College Station on charges of continuous sexual abuse of three children, all under the age of 17. In addition to these recent allegations, Govan is currently awaiting three pending felony trials tied to a string of property crimes.

The abuse reportedly took place between March 2018 and January 2023. Investigations into these accusations began in early 2023, involving the local law enforcement and child welfare agencies. As part of the investigation, an unidentified relative of Govan has also been accused of involvement in the abuse.

Persistent Legal Troubles

Online court records reveal that Govan was out on bond during his latest arrest on Monday (August 26). The pending trials include numerous counts of credit and debit card abuse during April 2021 and May 2021, fraudulent use of a credit card in June 2021, and misdemeanor drug charges in November 2019 and July 2020.

As of August 28, Govan remains in jail with bonds totaling $564,000.
