Man Arrested in College Station for Sexual Abuse, Awaiting 3 Felony Trials
College Station, TX – A shocking series of allegations have rocked this college town as 23-year-old Stelton Govan II faces charges of continuous sexual abuse of three children under the age of 17. Concurrently, he is waiting to stand trial on three separate felony charges relating to property crimes.
Details of the Case
Govan, who was apprehended on Monday, August 26, is reported to have abused the children between March 2018 and January 2023. The investigation conducted by the College Station Police Department (CSPD) also points to the involvement of an unidentified relative of Govan in the abuse of the children.
Pending Trials and Charges
Available court records indicate that Govan already faces charges of credit/debit card abuse, fraudulent use of a credit card, and misdemeanor drug charges. The card-related charges were filed in April 2021 and May 2021, while the misdemeanor drug charges were filed in November 2019 and July 2020.
Despite these pending charges, Govan had been out on bond at the time of his latest arrest. He is currently being held in lieu of bonds totaling $564,000.

Monterrius Harrison Arrested
Records show that there have been other noteworthy arrests in the area this week. One such case involves 24-year-old Monterrius Harrison, who owes more than $6,300 to the Bryan Municipal Court. This also marks his fourth time in the Brazos County jail in less than two years.
Five of Harrison’s previous warrants are for not having a valid driver’s license, three for lacking vehicle insurance, and two for driving trucks with children riding in an open bed. Harrison now faces community supervision after being released the following day.
Amanda Miskell Arrested
Amanda Miskell, a 42-year-old woman from College Station, was arrested on six warrants for failing to quarantine an animal. A representative from the Bryan Police Department shared that the charges stem from an animal biting incident that occurred in January of this year. The six warrants correspond to six consecutive days when Miskell failed to quarantine the animal. She was released from jail the following day after posting bonds totaling $3,360.

In other local news, The city of College Station has announced the reopening of Luther Street near Texas A&M’s west campus late Friday afternoon, August 30.
