Free Healthy Relationships Class Offered in College Station
COLLEGE STATION, Texas
A novel initiative aimed at nurturing healthy relationships among youth and young adults is being offered for free in the heart of Texas. Success powered by You, in conjunction with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, is providing an extensive weekend program titled Within My Reach. The program targets students and young adults aged 18 to 24 as its primary participants.
Fostering Healthy Relationships in Youth
The Within My Reach program, designed to develop positive, long-lasting relationships, focuses on topics such as setting clear boundaries, effective communication, and a balanced expectation in relationships. The aim is to educate participants on making informed, intentional decisions based on understanding rather than impulsivity.
Structured around pivotal concepts like ‘Deciding vs Sliding’, ‘Dangerous Patterns’, ‘Smart Love’, and ‘Where Conflict Begins’, the program is scheduled for two days, from 5 PM (CT) to 9 PM on Friday, Sept. 6, and from 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the AgriLife Extension Office, 1470 William D. Fitch Pkwy in College Station.
Class Benefits and Completion Reward
Besides the utility skills and knowledge gained from the course, participants will be provided meals and snacks for both the days. That’s not all. In a unique rewarding system, those who successfully meet course requirements will be awarded a $190 Visa gift card.
