Bryan Man Indicted on Charges of Possessing Child Pornography

BRYAN, TX – In a landmark ruling against cybercrime, a grand jury in Brazos County handed down an indictment to a local man on several child pornography possession counts. Shockwaves are running through the local community as the horrifying details about this case have started to emerge.

The Arrest and Indictment

Joel Garcia Jr., 47, from Bryan, Texas, fell into the police net after his alleged involvement in distributing over 22,000 images of child pornography in The Woodlands area. Status of the Case

The Bryan Police arrested Garcia in January, acting on the warrants issued by the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office. After the apprehension, Garcia was released from custody in January. However, due to forfeiture of his bond, he was rearrested in March. As per court records, Garcia remains in custody with bonds amounting to $450,000.
